Travis Smith (born April 29, 1982 in Bainbridge, Georgia) is the drummer in the metal band Trivium. He has been with Trivium since forming the band in 2000[1]. Travis is best known for his very fast footwork; a skill that has been rewarded several times by music magazines such as Revolver and Modern Drummer as well as other media.

In Metal Hammer's Golden Gods Awards 2006, Travis received the "Best Drummer in the Universe" award.

Equipment
Smith uses a ddrum drum kit with his own personal design on the drum shells. He also uses Gibraltar Hardware, ddrum electronics and Sabian cymbals. Since January 2007 Smith has used Aquarian drumheads - Texture Coated on the tom batters, Hi-Frequency Black heads on the resonant sides and Superkick II drumheads on the bass drum batters.[1] He also uses Ahead gloves and his own signature Ahead drum sticks.

Smith's 'Warrior Kit' configuration is a Dominion Ash in Transparent Black with Black-Nickel Hardware, 400 Chrome Spikes installed on lug line, two 20"x24" Kick drums, 7"x8", 8"x10", 9"x12" and 10"x14" Toms, 16"x16" and 16"x18" Floor Toms, a 7"x14" Snare Drum, and 6", 8", 22", 24" Acrylic Deccabons. It also has a ddrum Precision Cast Mesh Pad, with a ddrum 4SE Module.

Signature Kit
At the Winter NAMM Festival 2006, ddrum announced that they would be creating a Travis Smith Signature drum set, based on his warrior kit, with custom wraps by Rockenwraps. They also announced a Travis Smith Signature base.
